Keynote Speaker Garnadette Stuckey & Round Table
GJS H.O.P.E. (Honoring Ourselves as Powerful Entities) was invited as a guest speaker to celebrate, raise
awareness, and focus on resolutions for us as Black Americans.
The Illinois Malayali Association is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness and promotion of
Malayli culture in Illinois. GJS H.O.P.E. was the invited speaker in honor of International Woman’s Day.
I had the pleasure of meeting Yoel owner of The Underground Bookstore. My children’s book, I’m Glad
God Made Me Beautiful can be purchased there.
The Indian Social Workers Association of Illinois ISWA invited Dr. Stuckey as the guest speaker for the
holiday celebration that happened to be the day before Dr. King’s birthday.
We want to thank you all that supported us on this day! It was an amazing experience and we are so grateful! Books are still available!
